FACILITY TOUR

Explore over 18,000 square feet of VIP Taxi's repair and upfitting facilities. 

 

Diverse Fleet: Discover their wide range of transportation solutions, including 150 VIP Taxis and 50 NEMT vehicles through HealthLift NEMT of AZ. Their vehicles cater to various needs, including ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher, and bariatric patients, with specialized equipment such as stair chairs and oxygen systems.

 

Maintenance Excellence: Delve into their robust maintenance strategies designed to achieve an impressive 600,000 miles of useful life for vehicles. Learn about outside contracted maintenance services and heavy repair programs, which include partnerships with large fleets such as Police and Fire departments.

 

Upfitting Expertise: Discover upfitting services for construction fleets in yellow-white configurations and for emergency vehicles in blue-red, such as Police and Fire services.

 

Innovative Technologies: Experience their Loyalty Suite with over 18,300 enrolled passengers. Examine how this technology is leased worldwide, offering automated solutions that minimize no-shows, enhance operational efficiency, and boost Google ratings.

 

Driver Rewards and Safety: Learn about their driver rewards and safety telematics program and how they incentivize exemplary driving behavior through their Loyalty Suite, thus enhancing safety and rewarding drivers.

 

NEMT Specialized Systems:  Learn about VIP Taxi's oxygen trip planning systems and dedicated Employee Driver Payroll Timekeeping system, tailored for NEMT operations, ensuring optimized and compliant service delivery.

 

TRAINING

The Certified Stretcher Operator–Instructor (CSO-I) Course consists of the full CSO curriculum, followed by the instructor training component. Students must have at least one year of stretcher experience (regardless of credentialing) and be able to demonstrate practical skills, including:

  • Performing a standing pivot to a stretcher.

  • Properly secure a passenger to the device.

  • Navigating the stretcher through a room and doorway.

  • Completing a 180-degree turn.

  • Executing a lateral transfer to a bed or simulating the same.​

​

Instructor candidates will then have an additional hour of classroom time to review the program, key teaching points, and the proper delivery of the course.​
